So I've got a friend who recommended I try yerbamate as a change from coffee or tea. from what I've read of it it offers a "gentler boost of caffiene than coffee." So I bought some, and I tried it, and one hour after I drink a cup I've got a rapid heart rate. It's a little creepy. I haven't had that experience since college when I made the mistake of drinking coffee or smoking a cigarette after taking a No-Doz. Has anyone else had this experience with yerba mate?
